Record of Grancrest War (グランクレスト戦記, Gurankuresuto Senki) is a manga written by Ryo Mizuno and illustrated by Miyū. Serialization began in 2016 by Hakusensha's Seinen Manga magazine, Young Animal.
Plot
Record of Grancrest War takes place in a continent threatened by demons of another dimension called Chaos. Nobles fought against these demons with new found power called Crests, which granted them superhuman powers. However, due to human greed and corruption these nobles fought themselves for stronger crests and territory instead of fighting the beings of Chaos. The story focuses on Siluca Meletes, a prodigious mage whom scorns the nobility for abandoning their people, and Theo Cornero, a wandering knight that holds a crest fighting for his hometowns liberation from its tyrant lord. Together, they fight to end the wars and finally put an end to the demons that plagues humanity.
